Short answer

Usually yes. We test the drive to see whether it powers on, diagnose the problem and give you a free quote. Once the circuit board or other internal problem is resolved, we back up your data to an external hard drive after you approve the quote.

My understanding is that the driver is not powering on, based on your phrasing.

Regardless, we will test it for you to determine if it is operational.

We will ascertain whether it is powering on or not, diagnose the problem, and provide a complimentary quote.

Once we resolve the printed circuit board issue, whether it’s a lack of power or another internal problem, we will back up all data onto an external hard drive for you after providing a quote and receiving your approval of the price. For this type of issue, we are typically able to transfer all data onto an external hard drive for return to you.
