Short answer
Yes. We work on iMacs every day. We assess it for free, remove the screen if needed, take out the hard drive, test it and copy all its contents, including your iPhoto library, desktop, documents and photos, onto a new hard drive or SSD. We can also help with newer iMacs with an SSD, a Fusion Drive or storage built into the motherboard.
I have a hard drive removed from my iMac approximately two years ago. Could you recover data from this?
Yes, this appears to be a straightforward task for us. We work on iMacs daily. We will assess it for you. We will remove the screen, extract the hard drive, and test it. We will create a complete backup of all its contents and save it on an external hard drive. Typically, most iMac users have their iPhoto library, desktop, documents, and photos folders. We will back up all this data, plus everything else, onto a new hard drive or SSD.
We offer a complimentary assessment and quote. We can certainly assist with iMacs that have a hard drive, newer models with an SSD or a fusion drive (combining a hard drive and SSD), or the very new models with onboard storage built into the motherboard, similar to a MacBook. We can help with all of them. Please contact us for a free quote. This is definitely an easy process; we perform this work every day and can assist you.
