Short answer
Visit our office Monday to Friday, or complete the Start Your Recovery Today job form to get a job number and instructions. Pack the drive in a cardboard box with 3 to 4 centimetres of bubble wrap on all sides and include the paperwork. We recommend Australia Post Express Post with signature on delivery, or a courier such as StarTrack or TNT. If the drive is very important, deliver it in person or ask a family member or friend to.
How do I deliver my hard drive to you?
You can visit our office and deliver it to us in person. We are open from Monday to Friday and closed on weekends.
Alternatively, you can package it in a box. We will provide a form on our website titled “Start Your Recovery Today,” sometimes referred to as a “job form.” You will receive a job number with accompanying instructions. Please pack the item securely in a box and send it to us using your preferred shipping method. We recommend Australia Post Express Post with signature on delivery, or you may use a courier company such as StarTrack or TNT.
Provided you pack the item with 3 or 4 centimeters of bubble wrap on all sides, sending it by post is highly reliable. We rarely encounter lost items. Damage typically occurs only if the item is not properly packaged. We have observed instances where hard drives or USB flash drives were sent in paper envelopes, resulting in the envelope tearing and the contents being lost upon delivery.
Therefore, as long as you place the item in a cardboard box with appropriate packaging material and complete the required form on our website with the necessary paperwork inside, posting it to us is perfectly acceptable. However, if the item is of significant importance to you, we recommend either delivering it to our office yourself or arranging for a family member or friend to do so in person.
Our office is a clean, safe, modern, and secure environment, not a warehouse or shop. We always encourage in-person visits if possible, as this eliminates any risk of loss or damage. This is a highly recommended approach.
