Our Data Recovery Services in Brisbane

We provide a free assessment for most devices within 1 to 2 days. This includes hard drives, SSDs, and RAID/NAS units. We explain the issue, cost, and time needed for recovery.

Additionally, we outline the success likelihood before starting. Where a job carries a non-refundable attempt fee, it is part of the total price and your quote states it before you approve. For urgent cases, an assessment costs $150, or $500 for RAID/NAS units. This speeds up the process.

Economy service is typically 1 to 3 weeks. Priority and Emergency options are faster, and Emergency is our fastest service. Phones and tablets are a fixed price service with no assessment. Most recoveries are no fix, no fee. Some complex cases have an attempt fee, then a completion fee only if the recovery is successful. Phones and tablets have no attempt fee. You see your files before you pay.

What to Expect During Data Recovery

Bring your device to Payam Data Recovery Brisbane for a thorough diagnosis. Phones and tablets skip this step because they are a fixed price service.

Our team assesses the damage to find the best recovery method. For example, we might work on a hard drive with a damaged PCB or a RAID unit with failed drives.

After the assessment, you’ll receive a detailed quote. This outlines the issue, cost, and timeline.

Once you approve, our data recovery engineers use advanced tools in our Brisbane lab. They retrieve your data and test it to ensure file integrity.

Throughout the process, we keep you informed. Our goal is to recover your files quickly and securely.

Questions Brisbane Customers Ask

Can I walk in without an appointment? Yes, to drop off a device, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm. If you want to speak with a data recovery engineer, or you are collecting a device that is already with us, please phone 1300 444 800 to book a time first so nobody is kept waiting.

How much does data recovery cost in Brisbane? The assessment is free and you get a written quote before any work begins. Economy service for most hard drives, SSDs, USB flash drives and memory cards is usually between $350 and $1,750, and more for special cases such as damaged heads on very large drives; RAID and NAS jobs usually cost from $2,500 to $6,500 on Economy, and a basic backup from healthy drives starts at $350. Phones and tablets are a fixed price. Most recoveries are no fix, no fee. Some complex cases have an attempt fee, then a completion fee only if the recovery is successful. Phones and tablets have no attempt fee. You see your files before you pay. Full prices by device are on our data recovery cost page.

Where is the work done? Most of it here at North Quay, and some specialist work goes to our main data recovery lab in Rhodes, NSW. You deal with the Brisbane office throughout, and we move devices between our own labs at no cost to you.

Do I need to bring cables, the charger or the whole computer? Bring only the device you want the data recovered from: the hard drive or SSD (an external drive stays in its own case), or the laptop, phone or tablet itself, without chargers, cables, bags or protective cases. If you would like the recovered files saved to your own external drive or SSD, bring that with it.

Can you tell me what is on the drive before I approve the quote? No. Until the recovery is done nobody can see the files. After the recovery we send you a file list or a video preview so you can check what came back before you pay.

I forgot my iPhone passcode. Can you get my photos? No, and neither can anyone else. Apple’s encryption means data cannot be recovered from a locked iPhone without the passcode. If you changed the passcode in the last 72 hours, Apple’s previous passcode option on supported iOS versions may let you back in, as our iPhone Unavailable guide explains. If the phone is damaged and you know the passcode, that is a different situation and we can usually help.

I am on the Gold Coast, the Sunshine Coast or in regional Queensland. Do I have to come in? You are welcome to. North Quay is a real lab with real staff, and many customers prefer to hand over the device in person. If a visit is not practical, pack the device in a box with bubble wrap on every side, send it by post or courier with tracking and signature on delivery, and include the job form. Recovered data comes back to you on a new external drive or SSD, and return delivery is free once you have paid for a successful recovery. If you don’t want to go ahead, there’s no charge. You can pick it up from our office, organise your own courier to collect it, or pay $20 for return delivery, which covers shipping and handling to return it to you by Australia Post. International customers are always welcome.
