The answer from Payam Toloo, Owner of Payam Data Recovery:
Can You Fix My Cracked Screen and Bypass My Passcode?
I can definitely fix your cracked screen – that’s the easy part! But here’s where things get tricky: even with a brand new screen, you’re still going to need that passcode to get into your phone.
The Reality About Modern Phone Security
If you’ve got a newer phone (basically anything iPhone 7 or newer, or a recent Android), Apple and Google have made their security really, really tight. Those “hacking tools” you might have heard about? They just don’t work on modern devices anymore.
Now, if you’ve got an older phone – we’re talking iPhone 3, 4, 5, or some older Android models – there might be some options. But for anything recent? You need that passcode, period.
Before We Fix Your Screen…
Here’s something super important: once we get your screen working again, don’t start guessing your passcode. I know it’s tempting, but if you guess wrong too many times, your phone will lock you out for longer and longer periods, or sometimes permanently.
Ideas for Remembering Your Passcode
Instead, let’s try to figure out that passcode first:
Ask your family and friends – I’m not kidding here. You’d be amazed how often kids watch their parents unlock their phones and memorize the pattern. Your spouse, kids, or close friends might have picked it up without you realizing.
Think about your other passwords – Do you use the same code for anything else? Your house alarm, ATM PIN, work computer, or other devices? A lot of people stick with familiar numbers.
Consider meaningful dates or numbers – Birthdays, anniversaries, addresses, favorite numbers. Sometimes we pick codes that mean something to us.
The Most Unusual Success Story
Okay, this one’s going to sound crazy, but I have to share it because it actually worked: one customer tried hypnosis to remember their passcode. I’m not making this up! They went to a hypnotherapist who specializes in memory recovery, and it actually worked.
Is it a long shot? Absolutely. But if you’ve got photos of your kids’ first steps or something equally irreplaceable on that phone, and you’ve tried everything else… well, stranger things have happened.
