| How to send your disk to us |
We always recommend that you deliver your hard disk or media to us person by visiting one of our office locations. This is the safest and most secure option. This reduces the risk of any damage during transit or possible chance of the parcel getting lost.
If you prefer to use a courier or post your disk to us, we suggest you use a provider that provides parcel tracking requiring a signature upon delivery and also offers insurance if required.
We regularly use Mailcall, Toll, Couriers Please, Australian Air Express, Fedex, DHL and Australia post and find them to be reliable.

Step 1.
Put your disk in an anti-static bag, if this not available wrap it in aluminium foil to protect it from Electrostatic Discharge. This is not essential but a recommended safety measure to ensure no further damage is done to your disk.
Step 2.

Wrap the disk in bubble wrap or foam. We suggest to ensure at leas 2cm of bubble wrap is used to protect the disk in all 4 sides to protect it from shock during transit. If this is not available, use old newspapers scrunched up into balls to provide a protective cushion.
If you are sending multiple disks, ensure each hard disk is wrapped with protective bubble wrap between each disk.
Step 3.
Insert the bubble wrapped disk into a box at least 2 times the size of your disk to ensure enough space for protective bubble wrap or foam to fit into the box. Fill any gaps in the box with more bubble wrap. The goal is to prevent the disk from moving in the box during transit.
Step 4.
Inside the box include your business card or write your full name, address, phone number and email address
on a piece of paper.
Also attach a brief note detailing any information about your disk (e.g. this disk has been accidentally reformatted, or this has disk has suffered a power surge) and provide us a list of any important files/folders which are the most important to have recovered. This is not essential if you cannot remember but it's critical we received your contact details with your disk.
Countless customers in the past have forgotten to put their contact details in the box, as a result we have no way of knowing who the disk belongs to when we receive it and cannot provide a quick evaluation and quote. The more information you provide us about the problem with your disk and important folder/filenames the faster we can give you a result.
Step 5.
Send it to our office using a courier or Australia Post. Keep your tracking number for future reference.
