"I was most impressed — and grateful — for the friendly and efficient professional support I had throughout. That I am a Macintosh user made no difference. I had the feeling that my problem was really of interest. Certainly time and care and thought was expended with generosity. I was kept informed as to progress at every stage. A week later a further problem was explored with continuing efficiency (and no further cost).
A problem with data recovery? These are the people to consult."

We are Australia's #1 RAID Data Recovery Specialists,
We are your best chance of getting your data back in good condition ASAP.
We can help you with:
The most common RAID systems we rebuild are from HP, Compaq, IBM, Dell, Adaptec, Apple and from Linux Systems. No problem is too big or small!
| First Aid - What to do if you have a RAID Problem |
- Do not attempt to repair or rebuild your RAID array. If done incorrectly or with the wrong stripe block size, this may corrupt your data permanently. Don't risk it!
- Shut Down your RAID System, leave all of the hard drives power off. The sooner you do this, the better the chance your data can be recovered quickly and at less cost to you.
- Carefully Remove each disk from your RAID array and note the number the Disk Bay number they are removed from or label them with the SCSI ID or Disk ID if this is known. Otherwise number them in the order you remove it (e.g top to bottom, Disk 0, Disk1, Disk2, Disk 3, Disk 4).
- Contact us today - we will try to give you an idea of the time needed and cost involved with getting your data back. We are here to help you. We also offer an emergency service if it's urgent. This is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Ask for our Emergency Service if it's time critical.
- If you choose to bring your disks to our office to help you - put each disk into an anti-static bag and wrap in bubble wrap to ensure the best protection during transport. We do not need your server, RAID controller or any cables - we just need the hard disk drives. That's all.
Payam Data Recovery Clones all hard drives prior to work.
We do not modify any of your hard drives at any time.

- RAID array or volumes that won't mount after a server crash
- Multiple drive failure (or multiple drives go offline)
- Partition Corruption or Damage
- Lost RAID configuration
- Damaged striping
- Faulty hard disks in RAID Array.
- Configuration damage or corruption
- Addition of incompatible drives
- Drive not detecting in BIOS
- Hardware conflicts
- Media surface contamination and damage
- Software corruption
- Windows Blue-Screen Errors, Cannot access files.
- Viruses or malicious intent
- Software or operating system upgrade
- Unbootable Systems
- Corrupted RAID
- Missing Partitions
- Controller Failure
- Computer virus and worm damage
- Natural Disaster
- Human Error
- Unable to start server
- Unable to boot into the operating system
- Failed hard disk(s)
- Broken raid set
- Deleted/broken configuration
The time needed to recover data from a RAID array can vary depending on the brand & model of the RAID Controller, RAID configuration, file system type, the problem with the hard disks, ability to locate spare parts if needed and the condition of the data in RAID Array we receive the disks in.
Some RAID arrays can be rebuild in 1 day, others take 2-3 days or in some cases weeks! We really need to test the disks and then we can determine the cost and time-frame required.
| Cost of RAID Data Recovery |
There are 3 Steps and 2 charges involved for our RAID Data Recovery Service:
Step 1
Free Evaluation and Quote |
We will test your hard disks, determine the cause of the problem and provide you with a free evaluation and quote.
The cost may vary from $500 up to Thousands of dollars depending on the difficulty and time involved.
We also suggest that you bring us a spare hard disk if you have one for us to transfer any recovered data to. This can be an IDE, SATA, SCSI or External hard disk. If you do not have one, we can supply you one. |
Step 2
$500 up front payment to begin work. |
If you approve the quote, we ask you for $500 up front to attempt this recovery. Once the data has been recovered you then pay the remaining amount once the recovery is completed.
You can pay this fee by Cash, EFTPOS, Credit card or EFT.
This $500 fee is not refundable and is a fee for an experienced data recovery engineer to attempt to recover your data regardless of the outcome.
Many times we receive RAID systems which somebody has unsuccessfully attempted to recover data by repairing the raid, rebuilding the raid or replacing disks. Many times such actions can corrupt the data or cause problems.
We charge this partial payment up front to cover the cost of our engineers time to attempt to recover the data to help you. In over 85% of cases we are able to recover all data from a damaged RAID System but in the event it cannot be done, this fee covers our engineers time to try.
RAID Data Recovery is a specialised skill, our engineers have over 10 years of experience in rebuilding RAID arrays, we recover data from more RAID systems than any other data recovery company in Australia! |
Step 3
Test data and pay final amount. |
Once the data has been recovered, we will copy the data to another hard disk or DVD (if less than 15 GB), allow you to test the data at our office or by emailing you screen shots or file listings.
If you are happy with the result, you can pay the outstanding amount by Cash, Eftpos, Credit card or EFT. |

Testimonials from our previous customers with inaccessible
RAID-Systems:
Recently one of my clients had a power surge through a unprotected ASDL modem that damaged their file server and corrupted all the data on their Raid 1 disk array as well as a external backup drive that was running on the same circuit. This raid array among other files held irreplaceable medical files.
Payam Data Recovery worked tirelessly on these drives and where able to recover ALL the data stored on them, including the precious medical files which never could have been replaced had they not been recovered.
First rate job Payam Data Recovery, along with efficient and friendly service.
On behalf my overjoyed client and myself I cannot thank you enough.

Like any other day I shut down my laptop and external drive to continue video editing later that night home, only this time the drive refused to mount and just sat and flashed it's light at me. As luck would have it, that drive not only contained the current video project but also thousands of photos that had I had never quite got around to backing up...
After contacting the manufacturer they recommended your company and I am so glad they did. Not only did you recover all the data from my striped drives, you did it very quickly and for thousands less then the other company was estimating.
I have already recommended your services to a number of people and would not go anywhere else should this happen again.
Thanks Payam!

Being an IT advocate, everything I have is stored on my computer. Every document I've ever compiled, every letter I've ever written, every photo I've ever taken, and every memory I've ever had. To protect this valuable data, I implemented a backup schedule and had the data stored on a RAID solution to ensure the data would be safe even if I was faced with a disaster. The disaster you never wish for finally came.
My RAID controller was faulty and corrupted all of the data on the raid. Nothing was left and the drives weren't even being recognised. I tried them in another machine, on another controller, no luck. I then tried to restore from my backup, however the corruption also affected this. I was left with nothing. I then rang my local IT professionals, only to be told there was nothing they could do.
I felt like my house had burnt down and I lost everything inside it.
I was devastated to say the least. After a week of having that sick feeling in my stomach, I went online and Googled “Data Recovery”. I spoke with a few companies who said they could attempt to recover the data; however they wanted me to mortgage the house in order to pay them for their service. Then I cam across PAYAM and his team. Not only were they professional and very affordable, they were able to recover all of my data, exactly how it was prior to the corruption.
Since then I have referred them to others who have experienced data problems and they too are raving about PAYAM Data Recovery. Don't look past these guys, in my mind, they should be number one speed dial for every IT professional.”

We had recently purchased a branded server, with RAID SATA hard drives. After only several weeks of use the second hard drive which is where all the data was kept stopped responding. In an absolute panic I called the guys at PAYAM data recovery and they were helpful in every way, they asked me to bring the hard drive and they would have a look at it.
Within a couple of hours I was told that the drive head had crashed into the disk platters and ruined the drive, however the experts at PAYAM Data Recovery were able to retrieve all of our lost data.
I am very grateful for their initial response and the speed in which they delivered the recovered data. I have absolutely no qualms about going there again if need be. They are a friendly and helpful bunch who actually like to keep the customer up-to-date and informed of any progress.
Thanks again PAYAM, wonderful job

One of the drives in a RAID5 array of hard disks failed about a week ago. The total drive contains around 1 terabyte of data that we rely upon for daily end-user interrogation, so we span the data across a RAID array to supposedly ensure that it is recoverable if one of the drive fails. However, when we tried to rebuild the whole unit with a new drive, the RAID failed leaving us facing the loss of all that data… the only way to reconstruct it was to extract archive files, which would have been time consuming and may not have been complete or even fully retrievable.
When they tested the unit, LaCie (the manufacturer) said that the unit had failed completely and that, whilst they would replace the unit under warranty, they basically couldn’t help us as far as the data was concerned. They did, however, recommend Payam Data Recovery.
called Payam everything was made very easy for me – they arranged collection of the drive unit from LaCie, and within 24 hours they had retrieved and restored all the data for us. Within that 24 hour period I went from facing a 3 week task rebuilding databases from archives to having all the data readily available for end users to access.
In my opinion, the job Payam provided was exceptional. It saved me massive amounts of time and effort and was worth every cent and more.
I hope that this is helpful for you. If I ever (cross fingers I don’t, obviously!) need similar services then you will be my first port of call.
Thanks,

Recently my RAID 1 HDD crashed and I lost all my data. My wife was furious because there was a lot of personal data, pictures, home videos etc., and these were unable to be replaced.
I had found a company called PAYAM Data Recovery and approached them to see if they could recover my data. I spoke to Mark who was very helpful. He understood my problem and stated that the data could be recovered.
I sent my HDD and as stated the data was recovered 100% successfully. Thanks for your professional work and I would be happy to recommend your services in the future.

The hard drives in our RAID server “crashed” and our local computer technicians could only retrieve data off our backup tapes from as late as May but that still left us with six months of un retrieved data. Our accounting technicians in Brisbane recommended PAYAM Data Recovery and advised that they should be able to retrieve all of the lost data.
So we contacted PAYAM and within 24 hours of them receiving our hard drives they had recovered all of the lost data. Our system was totally back up and running within four days of ‘sending’ the hard drives to PAYAM. The cost was also a lot less than was anticipated.
We were very impressed with PAYAM’s service and have already recommended them to clients who have had similar problems and will have no hesitation in recommending them in the future.
